Cagla Dayangan graduated with a Master's degree in Foreign Trade from the Department of International Trade and Business at Dokuz Eylül University. Embarking on an academic journey, Cagla honed experience during two productive years in the School of Business at Dokuz Eylül University as a PhD student. Passionate about delving deeper into the realms of academia, Cagla took a bold leap into the research-intensive atmosphere of Southampton Business School, where Cagla currently thrives as a postgraduate researcher in the Department of Digital and Data-driven Marketing. Scholarly pursuits revolve around the domains of consumer psychology, conspicuous consumption, and branding. Additionally, Cagla explores the crossroads of international marketing and supply chain management, all viewed through the lens of a demand-side perspective. Notably, Cagla brings practical insights to research, having led international trade and e-trade operations in the family's business within the footwear industry in Izmir, Turkey.
Cagla has also taken part in several international conferences such as The European Marketing Academy Conference (EMAC), the Academy of International Business Annual Conference (AIB), the American Marketing Association Global Marketing Special Interest Group Conference (AMA Global Marketing SIG), and European International Business Academy (EIBA) Conference.
