Mangala joined Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences (CLAS), Faculty of Medicine as a Senior Teaching Fellow on 31st May 2022
Prior to joining CLAS she worked at the International Medical University (IMU), Malaysia.
She has experience in dissection and plastinated cadaveric teaching of gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, and embryology and histology to medical, dental, and health sciences programmes in India and Malaysia. Having worked in an integrated medical curriculum, she is experienced in the teaching methodologies like problem-based learning (PBL), team-based learning (TBL), case-based learning (CBL), flipped classroom, and blended learning in synchronous and asynchronous setup.
As a part of her doctoral work, she worked on an animal model of Parkinson’s Disease and natural compound as a therapeutic supplement. She has also worked on cell and animal models of breast cancer and natural compounds as therapeutic supplements
