Katy's research focuses on harnessing the academic environment to affect the behaviour choices of secondary school students.
Katy's current research focuses on the dynamic interaction between academic environment and student behavioural choices in the secondary school system in England. This builds on the systematic review completed for her MSc focusing on the effectiveness of interventions to improve academic motivation. Katy's research adopts a grounded theory approach, championing the voices of students in the processes that most affect them.
Thesis title: Students, Schools and Success: a grounded theory approach
