Mooney 201 (M20P): four place, single engine with retractable undercarriage, 200BHP Lycoming engine, variable pitch prop and cowl flaps.
It's a superb high performance single that can cruise at 150kts but flies without vices at 85kts. Its 900nm range makes it a great tourer. A Piper/Cessna pilot can convert in typically one to three hours flying. The plane was built in 1981 and put on the UK register in 1983. Based and hangared at Wycombe Air Park. The serial number is 24-1190 and the initial US registration was N1145G.
It has King avionics with coupled autopilot: 2VHF Coms, RNAV, NAV 2, RMI, Transponder, HSI. It's not certified for flight into known icing conditions. The aircraft is equipped with four life-jackets and a four-man life raft. A panel mounted GPS unit (KLN90B) was fitted in July 1999. The airframe has logged about 3100 hours. A factory rebuilt zero-timed engine was installed in August 2001. The aircraft is FM immune.
The aircraft was reupholstered in leather in June 2006.
