Are you interested in my research? Please get in touch if you would like to talk about research matters. I'm always open to joining new research proposals in the broad area of representation learning, machine learning and computer vision. I also have a little time available for consultancy work and contract teaching (my colleagues & I can be hired to teach machine learning to you and your organisation).
Are you interested in working with me as a post-doc? Current vacancies are posted on the University jobs site.
Are you interested in a doing a Ph.D. with me? I am interested in high quality Ph.D. students (typically with a first class degree from a good institution and a strong mathematical background) in areas related to representation learning, self supervised learning, etc. If you want to pursue a PhD in these areas, contact me and apply according to the instructions here. With your application include a research statement that indicates the area of research you want to investigate. Your covering letter will also give an indication about why you want to do a Ph.D. here at Southampton with me. Please don't just send me a generic CV and covering letter!
My office is room 4043 in Building 32 at the University of Southampton's Highfield Campus.
I am at my office most working days during term-time. Students with course-related questions are welcome to drop by at any time & I'll try and make time if I'm free. In general it's best to drop me an email to arrange an appointment however.
