Current research
Trang’s research focuses on understanding academics at work regarding how their working identities are challenged by changes in managerial processes and the complexities of value systems; and coping strategies in response to work challenges such as dealing with events of role transitions, mental health difficulties, interpersonal conflicts at work, and identity insecurity and ambiguity. She is also an expert in national and organisational culture with an increasing interest in understanding the nature of different cultural value systems and how to translate them in workplace to improve the practices of diversity and inclusion.

External roles and responsibilities
Biography
Before joining University of Southampton, Trang had extensive experience in teaching and lecturing in both Vietnam and the UK. She undertook the lectureship at the Academy of Politics, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in Vietnam. In the UK, she has been lecturing HR management and Organisational behaviour to students at both under-graduate and post-graduate levels.
