Current research
Selin's research is broad and dynamic. While she has ongoing interest in convex optimization and statistical learning; recently, she has focused mostly on robust optimization and its applications in discrete choice modelling, portfolio optimization and transportation.

Biography
Selin Damla Ahipasaoglu is a Professor in Operational Research within Mathematical Sciences in July 2020. Prior to that, she served as a Visiting Faculty member in National University of Singapore, as Assistant Professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design and as Postdoctoral Researcher at London School of Economics and Princeton University. She received her PhD from the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University in 2009. Selin also holds BSc and MSc degrees in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey.
