Dear List,
the State and University Library Göttingen(SUB) in Germany has recently
started
a pilot Project "Open Access with Springer Open Choice" on behalf of the
University of Göttingen. The pilot project will operate until end of next
year.
The library and the scientific publisher Springer agreed on September 26th,
2006 that all papers acccepted for publication from corresponding authors
affiliated with the Goettingen University automatically become open access
articles accessable through Springer Link. The necessary payment procedure
for this option is handled automatically between the library and the
publisher. As open access articles they are available on the internet as full
texts free of charge for everybody enhancing the worldwide visibility of
Goettingen-based scientific results.
