Institutional repository handbook for Turkish universities

The Open Access and Institutional Repositories Working Group of
Anatolian University Library Consortium(ANKOS) prepared an IR handbook
which can be used for by the universities. The handbook will be made
public in this month. Turkey is one of the countries with rapidly
increasing number of publications and citations. According to web of
Science in the period 1981-2005, the number of publications increased
by a factor 25, whereas the citations increase was 46 times. We hope
that establising the institutional repositories with mandating
policies will give more visibility to Turkish universities and
researchers.
