If I'm at the university it takes me 10 minutes to walk to the library, 5
minutes to find the journal and copy the article and 10 minutes to walk
back. If I'm at home add 40 minutes.
For an online journal it takes me two minutes to connect regardless if I am
at the university or at home and maybe another few minutes to print a hard
copy.
For me and increasingly for others, tracking down the print copy will come
a bad second to immediate desk availability.
