I am an Associate Professor and a member of the Web and Internet Science group at the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton. I am also a Turing Fellow with the Alan Turing Institute in London.

Before coming to Southampton, I was a a Senior Researcher (and before that a Research Postdoctoral Assistant) with the Information Systems group at the Department of Computer Science, Oxford University. I did my PhD at the Department of Computer Science, Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California. I was a member of the Information Integration Group, Intelligent Systems Division-Information Sciences Institute (ISI) at Marina Del Rey, CA. In the past, I have worked with the Information Systems Laboratory, Institute of Computer Science, Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (a.k.a. ICS-FORTH), Heraklion/Crete, Greece.
