About

Dr. Rahman leads an EPSRC New Investigator Award (EP/X033333/1) developing measurement techniques and models for photovoltaic systems in temperate climates and is Co-investigator on the EPSRC Network Plus for Sustainable Solar Energy Systems (EP/Z533154/1). He leads an outdoor photovoltaic systems laboratory within the Chilbolton Observatory, which includes bifacial and tracking systems, and is using physics informed AI to enhance solar energy forecasting.

Dr. Rahman is currently Chair of the Photovoltaic Science, Application and Technology (PVSAT) conference, which has been showcasing UK PV research for over 20 years. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Chartered Engineer, and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
